What's New for 2015 Jeep Grand Cherokee
If you demand luxury, but still need the off-road capabilities that Jeep is famous for, you want the 2015 Jeep Grand Cherokee. Momentum Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram in Vallejo is your Jeep buying destination if you live anywhere in the Fairfield, Concord, or Antioch, CA areas.
Jeep Grand Cherokee shoppers have their choice of three engines. Powertrains range from a 3.6-liter, 290-horsepower V6 to a 5.7-liter, 360-horsepower Hemi V8, or a torquey, fuel-efficient 3.0-liter, 240-horsepower V6 turbo-diesel. The turbodiesel engine in the Grand Cherokee is rated at 5 more MPG on the highway than the V6, yet produces 30 more lb-ft. of torque than the Hemi. The transmission is an eight-speed automatic, and you have several four-wheel drive options to choose from: Quadra-Trac I, Quadra-Trac II (with low range), or the sophisticated Quadra-Drive II with electronic limited slip differential. A properly equipped turbodiesel or V8 Grand Cherokee can tow 7,400 pounds; the V6 is rated at 6200 pounds.
The 2015 Grand Cherokee is available in five trim grades: Laredo, Altitude, Limited, Overland, and Summit. The Grand Cherokee Laredo comes standard with power everything, AC, cruise control, tilt and telescoping steering, automatic headlights, keyless ignition and entry, 17" alloy wheels, and a six-speaker stereo. The sound system comes with a 5" touchscreen, Bluetooth, and iPod/USB/auxiliary inputs. The Laredo E package adds satellite radio and power seats, but also the option for heated seats, 18" wheels, tow package, power liftgate, and an 8" Uconnect system display. The special Altitude model gets all of that, plus 20" wheels, heated leather/suede seats, and an 110-volt outlet. These trim levels are V6 only versions of the Grand Cherokee, if you want a V8 or the turbodiesel option, you need to move up to the Limited.
The Grand Cherokee Limited comes with 18" alloy wheels, special chrome trim, heated front and rear seats, a rearview camera and parking sensors, and an upgraded infotainment unit with nine speakers. Limited buyers also have the option of a Luxury group (with panoramic sunroof, infotainment system with navigation, and Selec-Terrain system) and Off-Road Adventure group 1 or 2 (with skid plates, tow hooks, and with group 2, an electronic limited slip differential, and Quadra-Drive II AWD). Select the Overland trim level to get 20" wheels, automatic wipers, auto-dimming HID headlights, panoramic sunroof, tow package and the 8" Uconnect touchscreen system with navigation. Both Overland and Limited models can select the Advance Tech group with many electronic safety aids. The nicest of the 2015 Grand Cherokee models is the Summit, featuring special 20" wheels and unique trim, plus real wood accents inside, active noise cancelling, all the Advance Tech options, and a 19-speaker Harmon Kardon sound system.
You will certainly be surprised at how luxurious a Jeep can be while still being able to navigate just about any backwoods trail you would want to traverse. Come see the staff at Momentum CDJR and let them show you the details on the 2015 Jeep Cherokee.
